beginners cantonese

I've moved to HK recently and want to start to learn a bit of Cantonese to help me get by in daily life.
Can anyone suggest any decent, reasonably priced places to learn as a total beginner?
I'm based in Wan chai...

You could try YMCA in TST. The class is really cheap, around 900 HKD as I remember. If you do it and need the class book, let me know I will leave it to you very cheap.

Good luck learning

The Hong Kong Language Learning Center is very good and cheap. The class sizes are small and they have several different class times available. It is also based in Wanchai. Hong Kong Language Learning Centre - Cantonese and Mandarin

I just bought the 'rhythmic cantonese' book and CD in HMV (just under $200) and it is easily the best beginners set I've seen, and I have a few. I'm already using short sentences (1 day later). I'm using it as preparation for an actual class. Highly recommended.
