Miele Restaurant Guide

I read in the SCMP this morning that Miele were producing a guide to Asian Restaurants. Keen to add my vote and to enter the comp to win a weekend hotel and dinner I visited this site.

I was disapointed with the selection of restaurants that were the available options for Hong Kong. If you live here you only get to vote for 3 but there were at least 5 I would have added to their list.
Aqua which is by far my fave restaurant here was not available as an option nor were any of my other favourites or any that have opened recently - in the last year. One restaurant - Bo Innovation I am sure has closed down.....

I thought this was going to be a good alternative to the Tatler guide that I am told only allows people to be in if they pay.

If you have 5 mins spare go online and vote for one of our many fabulous restaurants that may not see the guide if we don't add them.....

The Aqua Group are a bunch of pompous asses and probably chose not to be included.
Any restaurant guide will be outdated within a month so best to stick to online or weekly/monthly (periodical?) publications.

Is it just me or does the Ate Group logo look like a penis?

Beware any website which says registration is free but asks for the first 6 digits of your credit card!

Why on earth would they need the first six digits of our credit card number? What kind of a scam is this?

Don't know the 'Aqua Group' personally so can't judge on their pompusness but Aqua is one of my fave places to go.

Not sure what Miele will be able to do with the first 6 digits. Surely the last 6 would be more important.... ?? don't the first ones just refer to which bank issued the card ?? Not sure.

Think it is just to make sure people don't fix the voting but entering lots of times and increase chances of winning the prize ???

Bo Innovation is (fortunately) very much open for business and seems to be quite busy these days. Great, because it is one of my favorite places in Hong Kong.

Not gonna comment on the people behind Aqua Group other than say that they certainly have done well.
Speaking about their restaurants, it is ironic that their eponymous flagship restaurant IMHO has the worst food of any of their outlets (clsoely followed by Wasabisabi which basically has the same Japanese menu)...
