I was just wondering which internet sites people use. I'd like one that gives you a list of the cheapest flights and their carriers.

Also, do you think it's much cheaper {if at all} to fly from shenzen to beijing rather than it would be to fly from HK?

hi roger, i saw a one way to beijing from hk for hk$1400. can i really save that much more by going from shenzen? is it also worth the bother?

also, eagle travel is in this customs building. do you mean in hk or shenzen.

i"d like to buy an airline ticket from beijing to lhasa (in tibet) or from xian to lhasa. if i bought these tickets in a travel agent in these cities, will a get completely ripped off? is it worth ordering these flights on the internet before i go to avoid over-inflated prices? sorry, but i"ve not had any experience of china yet and this will be my 1st trip.

I've never bought tickets on the internet so I don't know, but usually there are a number of telephone numbers in each city that you can ring and order tickets. They'll quote you a price over the phone so you can compare, and if you order, they'll even deliver them to your room (cash on delivery). The only problem you might have is language related if you don't speak Chinese. If you want to go to Lhasa, you might want to order connections from Shenzhen, but I don't know about Tibet permits (you'll need one I understand), so you'll have to ask someone else about them.

www.lastminute.com.hk usually has some pretty good deals and have a fairly friendly website.

I think it is easier to fly to Lhasa from Chengdu.

Flights to Beijing from Shenzhen are cheap.....

Or get a friend to read it for you....I do not think they have it in English yet on the flights section.....they also offer hotels...
