| | Village houses in the N.T. I am thinking of moving to N.T. to live in a village house, preferably somewhere with good public transportation access. Does anyone know any good places to go for? I am looking for a one person flat and would love to find out the rough price range. Advice of all kinds would be greatly appreciated! | |

| | | There are no such things as one bedroom apartments in village houses.. They are separate 2 bed or 3 bed units in 3 floor buildings.
Normally 450 and 700 sq feet. Your rental would depend upon the area you choose. NT is a BIG place .

| | | Boris, you can get 350sqft places in village houses. There are quite a few around us and on Lamma they went for about 2,500p/m- some of them were very nice actually for a single person. | |

Just go to one of the property agencies in SK centre and ask to see exactly what you want to see: one bedroom flat with easy access to public transport plus any other preferences you have.

Never ever seen or heard of any unless your talking about the little shed houses. They are so old than no one but an elderly local is having to live in them - as I have ever seen. They rarely even have basic plumbing.
But I bow down in shame should I be wrong.

| | | Tsai Wan Village about 10 minutes walk from the Ma On Shan direction to Sai Kung town, has quite a few one bedroom village houses up an elevation behind Mr Wong's dai pai dong.
They are no different from any other village house in the area, just that they have one bedroom, a living room, proper bathroom, a kitchenette, and around 350ft2 total floor space. They are mostly ground floor, often having a small court yard/paved patio in the front. Quiet good for a single person, well the ones behind Mr Wong's Dai Pai Dong are, especially the view of the bay from up there.

| | | Hi Lawrenceray,
It's been a few years since we have lived in Sai Kung, but making a calculated guess based on todays rental market in Sai Kung, I'd say you would be probably looking at between $4,500 - $5,500 a month.
I had a mate who lived in one of them, he was paying about $3800 3 years ago, and they seemed quiet o.k for that.
