PCCW sucks (when u consider business broadband)

I needed to move my office, and called PCCW 1.5 month in advance. The CS staffs said they needed to charge 300 per telephone line and 1000 for broadband. I asked if that could be waived and as rude as it seemed, they asked me to call the termination department if I wish to waive the charge. After several rounds of negotiation, they finally agreed to waive the charges and the deal was almost closed, and I asked if the telephone line and the broadband could be relocated on the same day or in 1 to 2 days, such that my operation would not be affected much. Amazingly, another CS staff of broadband service said they could not guarantee if the telephone line and the broadband could be relocated on time properly, as "they were different departments, and you needed to call and trace by yourself".
It seems their business is really good and their company is so big and cocky that, the customer would need to participate in their business flow and coordination deeply, or am i asking too much?

Yes, with PCCW, you're asking too much.

I could not even get them to call me back after calling the general number and stating that I needed connectivity for the office - and ensuring that they knew it was a symmetrical connection.

HGC on the other hand - got an account manager to call me back in a few hours and he has basically been my single point of contact for everything, including setting up reverse DNS, making sure the tech support cases are followed up on etc etc...

We did have some teething problems - PCCW did not give them the lines they needed as they own them in this building etc etc, but they got it all solved and we had connectivity on day one when we moved.

Having said all of that, you probably did not do any checking before you signed up with them and are here to just rave and rant... right?
