Yesterday on CNN, they were saying, Clinton's supporters won't vote for Obama inthe election, but, Obama's would, if Clinton is the democratic candidate for presidency...how true is that??

manesh is on a distinguished road
CNN changes their story every other day when it comes to the campaign coverage. From each of these candidates, however, doesn't it strike you that Obama is the least full-of-shit? Or am I just buying into the power of his speeches?

That's the problem with hope, it leads people to consider improbable scenarios (or people in this case) as a way out of their problems.
personally public sector experience, imo, is not even necessary so much as having a good understanding of the system and a demonstrated ability to make good decisions - he will be surrounded by people and specialists who ultimately carry out the presidents decisions anyway - these posts are where the experience is most valuable and Americans know it

for example, Rumsfeld had tons of experience but didn't listen to those with even more telling him that you needed more troops - the result was a watered down hybrid plan and the results can be seen

How much experience did Abraham Lincoln have? The answer would probably shock any of the "experience = greatness" crowd. Don't let real world examples get in the way though

meiguoren you can't be serious? We're not talking about leading a company, coaching a tennis team, we're talking about leading the US in a pretty difficult time. Do you really want some pretty boy in who got there because he's got a nice set of abs and most of hollywood, not to mention Saint Oprah is behind him?

Crocodile- i was going to mention Australia and Kevin Rudd but thought better of it You're right, i didn't vote for Rudd but you can be damn sure we won't be going home whilst he's in gov. Mind you, if you feel like being a bludger now's a good time to go home. Australia, the welfare nation. Yippee!

And if it's going to be an Obama why couldn't it be his wife. She is one smart and charming woman, maybe that's enough if we're to follow meiguoren's argument.

I believe she's one of the reasons Obama has so much support behind him. Hell I'd vote for her over the other muppets running.

Why the age factor of Obama is a negative?? Shouldn't that be infact a plus factor??
and its not that he doesn't have any "work experience", he does, but then Bush and Nixon did too...I think, age or experience are useless if the person isn't good.
