Help! Router setting for iCable?

Hi all,

I had a PCL wireless router before, and recently it died on me. I decided to get a new one, an Asus WL500gP V2.

I had set up my connection like this:
Laptop to Router via ethernet cable
Router to modem (iCable)
modem to internet

and everything is fine.

However, afterwards, my WAN doesnt seem to be working! It's broadcasting and I can connect to it via wireless. However, when i connect to it via wireless, the internet doesnt work.

I've tried everything and nothing seems to work!
(ie both 54G and 802.11B mode, different types of authentication and even no authentication, etc)

Does anyone have any ideas?

but anywho... i think i know what the problem is. You might need to setup MAC Address cloning on your router to fix this issue.

Cable Internet providers usually lock you down to the first MAC address you try to connect from. So you get the MAC address of the first machine you connected with, copy it, put it on the routers MAC Address cloning portion and you're set.

This is what I did for a friend who had iCable's net service a while back.

I'd second that. MAC address cloning should fix it.
