| | moving to DB hi! We are planning to move to Discovery Bay with my husband and 2 year old daughter. My husband and I are very social and wanted to know what is the social structure of DB. Is it more community based or interest based. Since it is a small place (from what I hear) everybody would seem to know everyone more or less.
Do let me know. Thank you

| | | You wlll love Dbay, and the life-style is great for family and socializing. You will make a lot of friends, and since there are many on-going activities, you will never want for something to do. Checkout the DB forum, and since there are already DB members (Expats) you should get some lively tips. Since moving to DBay, I can honestly say it is like living in another country, while still experiencing the Hong Kong environment. Welcome to DBay, and I hope your have a long stay. | |

| | | yep, everyone knows everyone, or so it seems. it's like living in a small town.
there is loads to do with young kids, so you should have no problem meeting others in a similar situation.
they have coffee mornings for newcomers, but i'm not sure of the details. you can check out INSIDE DB, a local magazine with a lot of information about what's happening.
good luck! you should love it!
