bars in Macau?

I will be staying in a friends flat in Macau next weekend - can anyone recommend any bars/restaurants that would be nice to hang out in on my own (am expat female in my 30s - so dont need a strip club or anywhere that will make me feel ancient!)

thanks

check out the blue frog in the Venetian run by an Irish fella called Gary, he'll look after ya, great bar, good food, music, they also know where the best safe bars are for expats. The MGM has a good live band bar ,i think its called the Lion Bar.

I haven't been there, but I have heard that the bars at MGM are very nice. Am sure some local Macau people can recommend some other bars around the place somewhere.

There is a bar in the middle of The Venetian Casino that is a good watering hole for stopping off at while gambling. Great service and if you want to do some people watching, it is in a great location.

Have a great weekend!

fishermans wharf has a few bars, look for als dinner or A1 dinner, cant really remember the name, an English fella called wayne runs that, he's a good laugh and will look after ya, usually after work they all head off to some great places and you will probably bump into Gary from the blue frog, they are all mates and know how to have a good time even after working in a bar all day. Go figure.

thanks!

hey

thanks for asking! flu has eased - thank goodness.

I did get there on Sat.
Had a very relaxed lunch at Pousada (?) then a fun evening in the Old Taipa tavern, a mad italian place - very querky chef but so much fun and finished off with drink in the Crown 38th floor

lots of interesting looking places around though - could be tempted to go back soon and try some more of everyone's recommendations!

The Crown is meant to be full of high rollers ;-)

Am after some recommendations of good bars and cool places to go in Macau to save me from spending all my money on the tables in The Venetian.
