| | | Not an expat...But a friendly traveller! Hi all,
Basically I will be travelling to Hong Kong on 15th July (I think, I know its a long time away), and I will be all on my lonesome.
I'm flying in from my travels in the Philippines, but I'm actually British (and a girl if you cant tell by my username lol) and I'm in my early 20's (21).
I would really love someone to meet in the evenings or during the day for a cup of tea or lunch etc, so I just have someone to talk to lol.
I don't know where I'll be staying, I think I heard of somewhere called the Something Mansions, which is apparently a tourist ghetto, but sounds fun lol.
Please get in touch!

| | You are thinking of Chungking Mansions, or the slightly better Mirador Mansions. Cosmic Guesthouse is popular amongst backpackers. | |

| | | Tourist ghetto is an understatement.
I like to stay in the Garden Hostel. 60HKD per night for a bunk. Bunks aren't that great, but the place is nice to stay in. Fairly quiet too. Wireless internet. | |

Gemma Iona | hello Inoa
the weather is hot in july and u better to take a look this site before u come to hk Hong Kong Observatory
& u may need to buy a pre-pay mobile phone card for your mobile. PCCW mobile phone card may good for u. it coust around $6X~$80 hkd.
i juess that u are talking about
"chungking Mansions"
hmm.......
this is not a good choice for girl, i think.
there is dirty & danger.......
the better thing to save $$ for Accommodation is ...... if u are going to stay in hk more than a month, u can try to rent a room. i think it cost around $2XXX~$3XXX a month.
hope it helps | |
