Giving away free GMail accounts - Totally Free!!!!!!!!

Would you like a GMail account but can't get an invite? - Read on - this is not a sale.

Give at least 10 Dollars to any Tsunami relief collection or charity, post your name and donation amount in this thread (be honest about it) and I will send you an invitation to your chosen email address. I have at least 20 to give away free - give whatever you can. In fact get a few for your friends too - all I ask is that you put at least 10 bucks to any relief charity or collection in aid of the Tsunami disaster for each invite you ask me to send.

Remember give to the charity or collector - you can even get a reciept for tax relief on the amount. Do not send money to me.

I will try to reply within a day with your invite - probably sooner

Just email me or send a private message with your email address and I will email a GMail invite to you as soon as I can

this google invite has a very short half life. Let me explain; by some stroke of luck, serendipity or sheer coincidence you stumble on Gmail[affectionetly called ghandmail by those in the know] you may even come to appreciate the vast difference between this and any other web based email.
I got mine in August courtesy of Shri, and it was a couple of months after that I really got the gmail bug; but try as I might in all this time I have only managed to 'sell' two invites and even one of these has to have a reminder sent to his main email to check his 'ghand'.
An invite is valid for 2 weeks so most probably an unsolicited invite will not be activated in time, even when activated it does not mean it will be used, so back to square one. I foundthat if people come begging to you for an invite they are more likely to use it, than if you act the missionary.
As some bearded fellow once said-"When the student is ready the Master will appear"

There is a strong rumour that Gmail will go live on 1st April, a year after it went beta.

"Sign up for Gmail"

Posted by Keith Coleman, Gmail Product Manager

It's pretty exciting to see those words on the Gmail homepage. For the last 16 months, a lot of people have been asking us how they can sign up for Gmail, and today we're happy to be able to say, "Just go to gmail.com." From there, you can get an invitation code sent to your mobile phone, and with this code, you can create a Gmail account. Once you have Gmail, you can try out our brand new IM and voice service, Google Talk.

Why use mobile phones? It's a way to help us verify that an account is being created by a real person, and that one person isn't creating thousands of accounts. We want to keep our system as spam-free as possible, and making sure accounts are used by real people is one way to do that.

We're also working on some new mobile features that will make your Google account more useful and secure, such as SMS alerts and password recovery. When you sign up using your mobile phone, you can choose to save your number with your account so you can use these features as soon as they become available.

Right now, sign-ups only work with U.S. mobile phone numbers, but we're eager to support others. With Gmail now available in 29 languages (and counting), we're already working hard to bring you "注册 Gmail 邮箱," "Зарегистрироваться в системе Gmail," "Abra sua conta no Gmail" and many more.
