I'm a local born, been away to Canada for abt 7 yrs, then moved back to HK 3 years ago. I am now currently working in China, but still get myself back to HK sometimes. My life in China is boring, no frds here. Therefore whenever I go back to HK, I try to search for fun. However, many of my frds around are pretty busy even in weekends, therefore, I realize that I need to expand my circle as I don't wanna waste my weekends being in HK staying at home. Anyone is interested to hang out sometimes maybe for a movie or a dine, whatever it is? I have to say that actually I'm a bit shy in meeting new ones at first, but hey, who cares

Hi jenjenflower... your situation sounds so much like mine. i'm in china on weekdays, i know no one in china except my husband. i've met his coworkers and we have dinner but that's about it.

on weekends we go back to hk but i don't know many people in hk. and a lot of hk people like so spend their weekends with family. i was born in hk but left for USA when i was too young to remember. and now, here i am for 1 year now. i speak cantonese and english fluently. my mandarin sucks but i gotta learn soon.
