| Becoming a equities research analyst Hello all. I am wondering if investment banks in Hong Kong value those who have a couple years of experience in a particular industry and returned to school for a top MBA. Such a candidate does not have experience in equities research.  |

| It depends if the experience is in sectors that call for specialized knowledge - eg, petrochemicals, metals/mining, automotive, power & utilities, telecoms,. If it's just a couple years of entry-level experience, I don't think that will be seen as a big advantage. Last edited by ballon; 04-05-2008 at 12:48 PM. |
