Looking for Japanese and/or Korean classes or tutor

Hey. I'm a student and I really want to learn japanese and korean. I've been listening to korean and japanese songs for a long time but never really understand the lyrics and it's really annoying. I really like the language and want to get lessons, preferably in a class, but I don't mind private tutors.
Can anyone suggests a place or someone? Thnkx

You can take Japanese class at both GEOS and Pasona, but they're not cheap.

Hi,

I've also been looking around for a Japanese school, and have found it a little tricky. As someone suggested, GEOS and Pasona were the only two schools I could find that were suitable for English speakers.

I went along to both for a level-check and got quotes for class-based lessons (cheaper than private, and perhaps slightly more enjoyable to learn in a class).

Seems like Pasona was much cheaper, although class sizes seem to be much bigger.

Pasona seems better geared towards preparing its students to pass the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). That's a good thing, because if you ever start seeking Japanese job opportunities, the JLPT is the yardstick by which most companies will measure your ability.

I'm actually enrolled in Pasona in Causeway Bay, it's ok, but classes are as you said, pretty big. You can also take private lessons, but they're as expensive as GEOS.
My class is taught mostly in Japanese, but as all my class mates are chinese, you're pretty much expected to know all the Kanji, or at least have an idea of the meanings. That threw me. (and left my teacher having to write furigana on all her worksheets, ha).
GEOS are a typical Japanese Eikaiwa, so classes are more conversational (which suits me more), but pricey. I guess it depends what level you are.
