| I came across the same thing when applying to open an account. The lady was so rude I grabbed a comment card, her business card, and walked out fuming. Any other banks good for expats? |

| sylvester - might help if you told us what happened. I would hardly say they suck. They're not perfect, but for the amount of money I have in there... they're more than ok for what I need.

I memorably had a wage slave doubt that Skype was a real company, and I could not enlighten her as her [branch manager] office did not have internet. I just smiled, at the prospect of recommending her instant dismissal at the next AGM. Most soothing and a lot less stressful, then ranting and raving |

| I'm relatively new to HK and opened two accounts with them and never had a problem. They were polite and helpful. Guess it may be who you deal with indivdually. |

| Nope - they suck bigtime my husband tried to get a credit card with them. he had to wait 3 months after arriving to show 3 months of money input into the account. Then went into a branch to fill in the form. THEY filled in the form, and they put his name the wrong way around. Form was rejected and they rang him back to say he had to sign another form. Went back into the branch and signed another form. 2 days later, rang up, they put the wrong date on the new form. Please come back and sign another form..... at which point he told them to take a hike and how has a supplementary card on my account - not perfect, but what the heck - can't deal with this incompetance. |
