Smile I'm moving to HK with my fiance .... do I need a visa to live there?

I live in Toronto Canada and my fiance landed a job in Hong Kong. We are planning to get married before I officially move in 4 months. Do I need a visa to live there? Do I need to do anything or would my fiance's company have to sponsor me? I have no idea what I need to do....please help!
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

If you will be married you can apply for a Dependant visa and this will also allow you to be able to work here.

Use the search facility here to find " Dependant Visa " it will give you all the details. Your other halves company will not be in a position to sponsor you and do not to do so.

Boris is 100% right. Your husband (now fiance) will be sponsored by the company and then he has to sponsor you (via dependant visa). He can only do so if you have proof of marriage (so bring your original Marriage Cert). If you are not married yet, you may reside in HK for 3 months under a tourist visa.
The process to obtain a Dependent Visa is fairly simple and takes around 3 weeks. After successful approval, you will need to exit HK border (my wife went to Macau for a day) and return to have it stamped and valid. Then, you are allowed to stay in HK, as long as your husband's working visa is valid.
You'd then need to apply for HK ID within 30 days.
All the best!
