IT Jobs

Hi There,

I am after some advice regarding IT Jobs in Hong Kong.
My wife and I would love to move to Hong Kong...however we have 4 children and need to consider the expense of accommodation and education which we believe is considerably priced.

I am currently in the the telecommunications field, as a software architect/programmer specialising in Java-JEE. I have been in the industry for 15 years and am also familiar in full lifecycle software development.

I am open and very interested in moving into the banking/finance area. I am Australian and do not speak any other languages.

So given all the provided information what do you think my employment prospects are like, what sort of salary could/should I expect?

I thank all in advance for any input.
JB

your best bet would be to look at the job sites and speak to some of the big agents just to see how marketable you are exactly then take it from there.

have a look at jobsdb.com

speak to the big players such as, Hudson, Robert walters, robert half, ambition etc.

Does your current employer have a presence in HK where you can see if you can get a transfer etc?

And yes HK with 4 kids won't be cheap
