Ok....it's been 2 week now...

since I've FedEx-ed my supporting docs. I yes, I got a FedEx confirmation that they received my docs....about 250 pages of clear/crisp photocopies, and colored images (oh yeah...I bombarded them with docs this time).

Usually, they respond in a week, if there are problems or questions. But, 2 weeks...and not a whisper!?!!

I wonder? No more problems? Forgive me for the post, but I'm anxious! I plan to call them on the 7th or 8th week. What do you think?

Arghhh! The wait is nerve-racking!

Relax! You've done the right thing in my opinion: swamping them with relevant documentation. Their attitude will be that you are taking a lifetime decision so pushing them too hard to fix it all in a few days will cause them to be suspicious.

I would say that 4 weeks after you sent the stuff would be an OK time to chase them. Do you have the name/phone number/email address of a specific officer working on the case?

Just looking for some relief for my anxiety here....

Yes. I was given a case reference number, contact person and direct phone line. I was hoping that they willl send me a note or letter saying that everything is complete and in order and that they will now start processing the papers.

I hate waiting 6 weeks for nothing.

Congrats ! Now you have a lot more travel freedom with this passport without obtaining visas in advance.

Yeah....except China, and Taiwan.

Still have to get a Home Return Permit.

It seems this will be more tedious for me to get since I have to make a personal appearance.

Ironic...
