| I got my copy on Sat - I flashed my xbox360 about 8 months ago so I went and brought a copy from Wan Chai.
Got 3 360 games for $100!
Well i'll give u guys a review in my opinion.
I'm yet to play the game online yet - will wait until its officially released.
Played the game until 4.30 am this morning, woke up at 11.30 and put it back on again!
It is a very good game but if your expecting a next gen game totally different from any other gaming experience...it sadly isn't.
Considering GTA 3 and all the other games brought out on that engine were brought out on the PS2 and they've had more than 4 years ago to develop the game for these new super consoles - it doesn't really do enough for me to say "its the best game in the past decade" (as rated and reported 10/10 on IGN.COM)
GTA 3 was a wonderful game that took gaming to a next level, open barriers and in all set a new bench mark in gaming.
After spending 20 odd hours on that and then another 20 hours on Vice City, I just didn't have it in me to spend half the time on San Andreas - Basically because it was all the same game on a new map. Same kind of mission structures etc.
So after alot of people may have spent in excess of 90 hours on all three of those game (average time to complete the game and some extra) I think GTA 4 had to offer a little more to keep those people glued for another 30 hours.
GTA 4 is good but and YES i am yet to play it online. Its not amazingly different from the prior titles.
Driving is annoying - breaking is slow so u end up skidding past the turn u need to take or doing a full 180 turn when using the handbrake.
Maybe its just me because everywhere else online has reviewed it as the best game ever.
I'd give it 94%
I just shudder at the thought that we're going to be buying this game again next year and the year after with map changes and new missions
GTA 4 Sao Pablo etc |
