| Firefox/Google in Chinese I have the bad fortune of having to use a PC in my job and one of the things I have noticed is that everything seems to default to Chinese on my web browser. Presumably Google or whoever is looking at my IP address and coming to the conclusion that because I am in Hong Kong I am naturally Chinese. I have tried a few changes but they seem to be temporary and don't put everything as it should be, just like on my Mac! |

| I agree and have had similar problems for doing research online. So instead of just going to .com for google or yahoo or other search engines....I've gone back to the Canadian ones....like google.ca or yahoo.ca bringing you to the Canadian sites automatically in English, and defaults your searches into English sites first. Hope that helps at least in your searches online. I've also uninstalled the Firefox that was on my laptop, and downloaded an English version. Last edited by Gigglewater; 23-04-2008 at 12:15 PM. |
