Hello, I will be staying in Hong Kong for two months at the start of 2009 and i really need some advice. Would it be easier for me to rent a studio apartment or rent a room from someone? My budget is around $3-6000/pm. Can I even find somewhere for that much? Do people usually rent rooms out for just two months or do they prefer longer term?

I have been looking at studio apartments in causeway bay and fortress hill but they seem pretty expensive plus they require a $2000 deposit. I'm not too bothered about the location so can anyone suggest a cheaper area?

I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give

I'm not sure on the exact date yet, but it will probably be around the 20th january
