My family & I are planning on moving to Disco Bay (from Canada) and are looking at some of the costs involved. What would some of the costs for utilities be, for a 3 bedroom apt, that would not be included in the rent. Also, if anyone could shed some light on which of the Phases of D Bay are better than others? Better yet, is there a good map of the area anyone knows of? Thanks!

http://www.discoverybay.com.hk/map/map.htm You'd want to watch your transportation costs. Make sure you've read the guide to renting in Hong Kong. http://www.geoexpat.com/resources/a-...ng-?l433/view/

Shri is right about the transportation costs: Bus to airport HK$ 28 Bus to Tung Chung HK$ 8 Ferry to Central HK$ 27 shuttle bus to village HK$ 3,5 hire car HK$ 10 day and HK$ 20 during the night The judgement which phase or village is better than the other is very subjective. For me it was important that I live within walking distance to the ferry pier and the plaza because I did not want to depend on the shuttle buses. My second priority was to live in a low rise building and I wanted to have a terrace as well. I live in the Beach Village (part of phase 1). The website shri mentioned gives you a good idea where which phase is located floor plans of the buildings everywhere.
