Kids - they say the strangest things

Conversation with my 2 year boy after we found some geckos in the flat.

Him: daddy, was that a cocker rayche (he means cockroach in case you hadn't guessed)?

Me: no, that was a gecko, it's a type of lizard.

Him: what do they eat daddy?

Me: I think they eat flies and bugs and little creepy crawlies.

Him: Daddy, do they eat minibuses?

Me: erm, no, I don't think so...? (trying to suppress huge amounts of laughter)

My 19 month old stopped in a mall, pointed at a woman, and shouted 'Minger!' at the top of his voice repeatedly.
Fortunately she had no idea what he was saying.
He had never said it before and has never said it again since and we have no idea where it came from!

out of the mouths of babes....

Same son watched his older sister being led away to a swimming lesson, both of them (sis and female teacher) in their swimmies. So what does my son say out loud?

"Daddy, I can see her bottom"
