Hey all,

I"m a kiteboarder from NY. I've been kitesurfing for 4 years in NY and around the caribean..

I'm moving to HK soon and will look to continue kitesurfing in HK and around..

I already know that HK is NOT the best place for kitesurfing, but it is still possible. If there is already an expat kitegroup, I'd love to join..
If there is none.. Guess what? I'm starting one now :-)

I know there are great places to kiteboard in Thailand, Vietname, Indonesia, Phillipins etc.. I plan to do weekend getaway trips to all those destination to kite and explore..

If you dont' kiteboard yet, but want to learn, I'll help to hook you up with local instructors to teach you. So reply here and we'll take it from here..

sounds like a plan :-) We have a small crew .

You don't have to wait for me to land to get started..

1. you should get a trainer kite. and lern to fly it. for 3 - 4 hours..

2. sign up for lessons.. Here is one school I'm aware of in HK. kite2high ????????? ::::: kiteboard kitesurf kiteboarding kitesurfing in Hong Kong China
Call Peter and tell him Dmitry send you.. I'm yet to meet Peter myself, but he is one of the few people who kite there..

I will most likely be staying in mid-levels.. (unless there is a compeling reason to stay some place else.. ) If there was a perfect kitesurfing spot in HK, I'd think no longer and live there.. But I don't think there is one here..

I will definitely look for you tonight. I tried Kitesurfing on an inland lake this past winter in Michigan and thought it’s lots fun Would love to do more so trying to get a trainer kite now and need some suggestions. Hope to join you guys to explore places in HK to do it. I am a petite Asian girl, will be wearing a black/white/blue ish pattern dress (casual Friday, Yeah) … See you tonight!
FYI, I am doing a short Adventure run (11K) this Sunday, interested in doing something outdoorsy this Sunday? Come along… all you need is a helmet.
