Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good bridal gown shops, or, alternatively, any dressmakers which specialize in bridal gowns.

Also, has anyone else planned their wedding here in Hong Kong? Any tips on printing invitations etc?

hi! I did all the bridal shops here and the prices are astronomical...! What is your budget? I personally had a beautiful dress tailor made by a tailor called Novem in the World Wide House, her shop is called WellFit (check with the officer there to find it).
I suggest you go try as many dresses as you can to decide which cut is best for you and then find (or take a picture) of that dress to show to the tailor. You can get nice white shoes which you can keep and dance without blisters in the same WWHouse - Prestige shoes. The heels are not very high, but the shoes are elegant and confortable. The fabric - check a shop in the Western Market, 1/F - i can't remember the name of the shop, but the shopkeeper's name is Rowena. They sell fabrics from the haute couture suppliers, like Escada, Armani, etc. I checked myself as you hae to stay vigilent here - the Escada wedding dress (HKD110,000!) fabric was identical, same as in the shop. Anyway, this is my feedback. I can tell you much more later.

Thanks Susan, I appreciate the advice. I'll go check out the shops this weekend.
I had the feeling that prices here would be sky high so was starting to panic slightly, good to know that there is a good dressmaker out there too! It's going to be tough to stay within a budget (I tend to get distracted from things like that) but will try my best!

Did you get married here or overseas? Would love to see some pics of the dress if possible!!

Thanks Rani, I did have a look at the directory and will check out a few of the places listed - I'll probably start going around this weekend, so will let you know how I fare!
Thanks also for the suggestion for the tailor, there are so many around, it is difficult to know which to choose.
