I too am blonde, western, long hair.... and years ago I had straightening done .... a few times ... the first two times it looked great! The third time dry and like straw ... and I went for regular treatments for conditioning.

Some advice don't do it .... instead pay out the money every few weeks or days which you prefer and have the salon temporarily straighten it for you.

If you do get it permanently straightened be prepared for dry and damage hair ... even the best and the most expensive hairdresser/styler/straightener in HK cannot 100% predict how your hair will react.

But if you still want to get it done permanently then there is some preparation I strongly advise you do every week to 10 days for about 2 months go for a deep conditioner hair treatment at a salon (about 6 times total). This will help your hair to maintain it's natural oils and nutrients during the straightening process. Once you get it straightened it is recommended that you go at least twice a month to get a deep conditioner treatment to maintain the same natural oils and nutrients as the straightening process rapes your hair of them.

You need to keep in mind that the chemicals for the straightening treatment are harsh and can damage your hair but also the chemicals combined with the elements of the pollution and water (especially if your building has older pipes) and if you use products to help you keep blonde or to enhance your blonde hair ... another factor also is how often you wash your hair.

so sad

Hi

Thanks for ur reply !
I am just back from the Colour Bar in Central for a consultation, and to know if I could do this straighten perm.
And The lady told me if I do it, I will damage my hair because I did a higlight last year, so I will be needed to cut my hair !! otherwise, the most blond hair will be very dry ... My hair are very thin too.. and I used to wash it every 2 days.
so she asks me to think about it.
ANd if you tell me that I need to go to a salon often to have a deep conditionner treatment .... I will be fed up very quickly
SO ok thank you for ur advice, I am definitely resigned to use the iron flat all my life !!!!

why dont u try semi-rebond treatment? its not as flat as japanese straight perm but it will make your hair straight and manageable.

try filipino salons.
