Can anyone recommend a solicitor who deals with village houses. I am buying one in Sai Kung. Also, could I get a rough estimate of charges as I have been quoted hugely different prices by different lawyers and am not sure what the going rate is!

I have recently concluded a transaction with Johnnie Yam, Jacky Lee and Co on 25811988. Speak with Jacky Lee. He has a lot of experience with village houses in the NT.

Going rate should be about 10k for a purchase.

Make sure any solicitor you are using knows what they are doing. I had a transaction a couple of years ago and had to get another firm to take over the transaction as the firm in question simply didn't know how to enact a property purchase and my purchase would not have been legally binding had I proceeded!
