I'll be interning in Hong Kong from mid-June to late Aug and I was wondering where are some good places to go clubbing/drinking/dancing. I've been to LKF once, but the drinks there are so expensive, where do locals go? And do most clubs require an entrance fee?

Im gonna be there from Monday until the end of July and spent 3 and a half weeks there in Feb. I think LKF is the main area but I agree that the drinks are expensive. Need to go out early to take advantage of the happy hours.

Some clubs require you to be/with a member to get in such as Dragon-i and Drop.

None of the clubs in Wanchai require a cover charge but they are probably not the places you want to frequent so I will leave someone with more knowledge to answer your questions.
