Smile Looking for Katana Sword in Hong Kong

Hi guys,

I am looking for a Katana sword in HK. Just want to know whether Katana is illigal to own in HK or it's illligal just to carry around. Do you guys know anywhere I can get one. It's just to decorate my place. I am not looking for a tipical genuine one as it's almost impossible to find. And of cause, I am not planning to get it from Ebay or anything!

Cobra on Queens Rd West carries that kind of thing. At least, they have big macho combat knives. Don't recall if they have swords.

Saw then in Hennesy Road Wanchai . Left hand side of the road walking from Wanchai towards the Wanchai Fire Station.

Sorry no better than that. I didn't know you where going to ask !

If you get a useable one, please be careful! Keep it clean, make sure it's dry before storage and then oil it well, or it might well rust on you if it's stored in the scabbard all the time. Rust sucks. High carbon steel needs to be carefully cared for.

Boris, Henessy road is very long! just let me know if you remember any street signs or any MTR exits which is close to the place. That could really help me a lot. Thanks!

Actually, Tokyo hosts an annual convention of samurai armor / weapons collectors / dealers. They only sell genuine items....The main prohibitive factor is not finding it...it's the cost.

Yep, you can have one custom-made in Japan, but you might be waiting up to 6 months and they can run you up to $100,000 US if you go all out.

Cutlery and Hardware? Do they have butter knives and ladles next to swords?
