Thumbs down Shun Tak Centre Macau Ferry Terminal

Hi Everyone,

I just need to a rant as it really p*sses me off....
My husband has recently started a new job in Macau, and comes back a couple of time a week. I go and pick him up from the ferry terminal; and the only place for car pick up is on the 1st floor of the Shun Tak Ferry Terminal. However, you have to keep driving round and round and you're not allowed to stop and wait. Well, you can stop once you have spotted your passenger for them to quickly get into the car. But otherwise, the security gurard just waves his baton at you and shouts at you to tell you that you cannot stop ! This is so enviromently unfriendly and does not make sense to me at all. There are actually a whole host of cars parked around there, but I guess they have a special 'permit' or something............Is it me, or is this not right ? Whom can I complain to ?

Isnt there a parking lot where you can park and then wait for your husband in near the Immd exits?

If you are going to whine about the environmental downsides of not having convenient parking space, then maybe you should consider using public transport.

Or did you just want to rant about not having your own parking space in one of the most crowded cities in the world? Poor you.

Or alternatively buy a permit and quit whining

There is a carpark just above the pick up area, 25$/h, access by lift, 5F. The area in the pick up area is very limited. Allowing people to wait here would block access to the car park. Driving around at 1.5kph is not very nice either, and has similar consequences.
Why dont you just park and meet your husband at the exit door? It would allow him to meet you first thing when he get out, you could get a coffee or something, and everyone could park in peace :P
