A young child does not differentiate between white and black friends until his society instills an opinion into him. A good white friend of mine was brought up in Africa and one day asked his Mum whether a friend could come over to which has Mum asked him whether said friend was white or black. To this my friend replied 'I don't know, I'll ask him'. |

Beyond ridiculing "mud animated by lightning" (and proposing mud animated by the giant tooth fairy) it had no point.
With apologies to the OP, this is another go-nowhere debate. I have no problem with your beliefs, you can believe a Martian lives under your bed for all I care. I do object to teaching it to our children and while I realize you are compelled by your beliefs to proselytize to us heathens, I don't think anything said here is going to change my mind (or yours).
And BTW, the 'earth is flat' talk is not about whether Christians actually believe the earth is flat, its about Christians disputing and arguing the obvious. I fail to see any 'intelligence' whatsoever in 'intelligent design'. |

A young child does not differentiate between white and black friends until his society instills an opinion into him. | A Childs first instinct is to say "MINE" and to insist upon it. And "IT WAS NOT ME" - when it was them and they are guilty. Children are born lairs.
But I don't want to engage in this topic because is disagreed on by 'major major' schools of philosophy. If you study philosophy you will see this debate going back a long way. With all the material out there for both sides you could exhaust it all and it would still be unresolved.
All that to say, don't toss my words aside as foolish when major schools of psychology and philosophy are not certain. Quote:

The Ben Stein film people - come on~ Does no-one want to discuss this film? No-one has made even one lousy comment talking about this new cinema release.
THIS IS A CINEMA RELEASE did I forge to say? |

If anything else I would have thought someone would have thought something of the conflict between the different scientific schools of thought.
Zenlogo - I also respect you, your comment has been the first relevant to the purpose this was started for - good form. |

This is wide open to humor.
If I got his science and made it sound like faerie tales (like some intelligent design people do to Darwinism) you would mock me, yet you cannot be academic regarding those who follow lines of evidence in intelligent design theories. The tables seem as balanced as Ben Stein says they are regarding opening scientific dialog. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 11:29 AM. | |
