I also paid with citibank. Just called them, and they are quite cooperative. They said they can hold back the payment on the basis of "services not delivered by merchant". They asked me to varify with Oasis that the flight will not happen, and afterwards confirm with citibank once more.
I guess they can do this as I just booked the flight 3 weeks ago, and the ticket would have been only on my next credit card bill.

The only problem is to contact Oasis... their hotline is busy.

Hey mjk

What's their hotline number? I've been trying to call 3628 0628 which is their bookings line which is constantly engaged, or more likely off the hook. thanks

I have read that Hainan has been in talks for months with HKG about Oasis. As George Soros is a partner in that and he has DEEP DEEP Pockets then ..................................

Good position for it to be in administration. Can buy the assets much cheaper and shaft all the unsecured's. SWEET !!

Yes, I am trying the same number. That's also the number they announce at the airport for the cancelled flights supposed to leave today.

justice has pissed of a few people
I hope all booked a tickets get refunded. But with Oasis.. I can personally testify they fight to the death for every penny.

I am so glad they are going out of business. Our decision to try them out was the biggest mistake ever. They made a mistake with the booking, were extremely rude and tried to charge our business for the changes! We booked with a trusted airline and they refunded with a charge. Complete bunch of crooks.

I do love karma sometimes.

From Cathay:

"As a result of Oasis Hong Kong Airlines suspending all its passenger
services from today onwards, Cathay Pacific is committed to helping Oasis
ticket holders who have confirmed bookings on its London and Vancouver
routes in the coming two weeks.

Two additional flights to London would be added in the early hours on
Friday and Sunday to existing services with priority given to the large
number of schoolchildren returning to the United Kingdom at the end of the
current school term break this weekend.

A special one-way Economy Class fare at HKD2,500 (plus applicable charges)
will be offered to eligible Oasis ticket holders on Hong Kong to London, or
Hong Kong to Vancouver. This special fare is only available to affected
Oasis passengers contacting Cathay Pacific hotline in Hong Kong at
2747-6181.

The hotline will be open 24 hours and available with immediate effect until
further notice.?
