Change of Status Hi all, My husband and I are getting divorced, he is a Chinese permanent resident and we have been married for 4 years. I am working as his dependant but also started my own successful business 2 years ago; does anybody know if I can change my status to stay in Hong Kong? Thank you Claire Last edited by claire_hk; 08-04-2008 at 07:19 PM. Reason: spelling

Were you in HK before you got married? (If so you might be approaching PR - drag out those divorce proceedings) Otherwise, I guess you could go for an Investment Visa. Do you employ any local staff?

Hi PDLM, thanks for the reply. Yes I was in HK before we got married but only on a tourist visa. I do not really want to drag out the Divorce as what this 'person' did to me is unforgiveable!! I employ one staff yes Thanks again! Claire
