| | | Same here, but in March. Some rumours they might renege even on those and downgrade them at first entry - so watch this space. Anyone with first-hand experience going forward, kindly update this forum.

| | | Alby--Turn around time depends on the money you want to spend. You can UPS/FedEx it there, so a day or two; can pay for quick turn around, so another day or two; can have them UPS/Fed Ex it back, so another day or two. Plus they have on-line tracking. But sending it out on Monday and hoping to have it back Friday is a stretch; could happen if everything goes right. If you have two weeks back home (or longer) it's easy. And the slower you can go, the cheaper the service.
For those of you trying to get PRC entry visas, it would help if you would please note your passport country when reporting updates.
Still seems like the rules depend not only on the mood of the issuer, but also the country on the passport. Perhaps even the country in which you are applying. |

| | I'm now glad I was forced to get a new annual visea in September after my 1 month old annual visa was cancelled on arrival at Tibet border control inAug last year and I was charged and issued with a single entry vis. When I got back and complained to the Gov office about the mess it caused - getting on flights to Xian and then back home to HK etc etc I was told the guy at the border must have had a reason. I guess you give them a uniform and they can do pretty much what they like........Didn't realise at the time how glad I would be one day..........
I think that all subjects of the countries who issue visas should be subject to the same rule as the rules they use. Chinese entering the UK should be issued with a single or double entry visa but have to wait for 2 days for it......... In heathrow ..... |

If they DO alter visas on arrival, you're definitely doing better than I am. I'd hate to have my visa changed to a single-entry or something after spending over $1000 on it (UK passport). I went to China and back about 5 times over Easter, so I hope that gives me some credibility!

| | | I live in Hangzhou & just got a new visa last week. Was told I'd have no problems for future entry & that this ban only affects existing applications thru Oct.
