I saw on the website of the China visa office in Macau, that they issue multiple entry visas for Macau ID holders and/or property(China) owners. Since I just got my Macau ID, I went for it and got a 6 months multiple (Max stay 30 days) issued within 2 days for 400 MOP.
Documents prestented: (Macau ID and certificate of real estate ownership).
I am not sure if they do it if only one requirement is fulfilled, but it is worth a try.

Janet ,

if you don't mind me asking where did you get your L multi-entry visa, how much did it cost and what docs/proof did you need?

The best i could do yesterday was a dual entry L visa for $850(avail in 2 working days).I have Australian passport and HK permanent ID.Only needed PP photo and copy of HKID-no hotel bookings etc

i was told no chance for multi entry L visa

Thanks

Many of us are still holding multiple L or F visas issued before the restrictions started in April. There are now rumors around that they might be revoked starting on July 1st - thus we update each other when we travel to see whether it actually happens or not. Read a bit through the thread to get more info.

Hopefully for Janetw they won't cancel existing multi entry visa's then,

fyi though i have been getting the once over at the border the last few times with much more careful check than previously including scrutiny of passport under UV and bend back the pages technique , also the "scrutinizing gwailo face with held up passport photo" thingy they do,asking for my Hong Kong ID and not actually looking at it etc etc-the full monty really .

In Changsha last month customs officer asked me if i was carrying any fruit(i thought only the Aussies did that)

I am starting to think it must be me.

Anyway a faint glimmer of hope -my reliable agent informed me yesterday that after the olympics may be able to get 3 year multi entry again -first time she has said that- maybe it was the sunny weather affecting her

New issue of visa?

Has anyone managed to get a multi entry visa from HK since the ban?

My husband's visa ran out last week and we are trying to renew. Unfortunately he does not have a HKID card. Danish passport holder.

We own our own business and are in the process of opening a rep office in China and he needs to be there to oversee the process.

Any advice?

Thanks

Without a HKID the reports seem to say no chance. He needs to apply in Denmark (or whichever country he is currently legally resident in).

The best you can get at the moment is a 2 entry visa. As your husband is not a HK resident he might have problems getting even that. Best is to pay a little more and go through a travel agent. Have a look at the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry in Hong Kong about the required documents and so on (just disregard the stuff about multiple visas, for many weeks they pretended to have a computer problem) - the link is posted earlier in this thread.
Even better to apply after the Olympics - things will hopefully calm down.
Good luck

2 friends of mine - also not a HK residents, German passports - still manage to get 2 way visas via a travel agent. HK$ 900.- a pop...
They seem to be selective about the country the applicant comes from. There is a list with the 30-something countries which citizens have to apply in their home country somewhere earlier on this thread as well.
