For L visa (for tourism) you need:
(1) A copy of Chinese hotel booking;
(2)A copy of return flight ticket booking

For F visa for business and visit (single or double entry):
(1) Visa Notification Form issued by the relevant department of Chinese government or the government-authorized company
(2)A copy of Chinese hotel booking;
(3)A copy of return flight ticket booking;

For multiple-entry business visa:
(1) Visa Notification Form issued by authorized Foreign Affairs Office or Bureau of Commerce(original)
(2) Hong Kong Permanent ID card (original and photocopy) and other possible supporting documentation
(3) Registration Certificate of your company in China may be needed.
Multiple-entry visa is issued at the discretion of the consular officers (just like it is in the USA).

I think the problem is that people are leaving out the parts that I put in bold. The Visa Notification Form is very important!

People are still gettting multiple visa entries, but you need the required documents!
It sounds like CHIMO is a staff of the Commissioners office. 1)
It seems the so - called VISA NOTIFICATION LETTER - is almost suspended by most of the "relevant authorities" - any attempt to get this issued in a timely matter failed - I have sent 6 factories BIG SHOTS in different provinces to the so-called "relevant authorities" - the best advice was: "Why your customer does not buy the Visa in HK with CTS ?" They are all totally un or mis-informed - zero communication from the main departments - so the decision is always better do nothing than doing something is "maybe wrong", because "we are not really sure......".
2)
There is a new regulation on the way that if you want to renew your previous multiple F-Visa you need to show up the VISA NOTIFICATION LETTER which granted you the PREVIOUS F-Visa - this is 99.9% impossible for most of the applicants.
3)
Why do applicants living in HK & having a HK registered company and placing export orders to mainland suppliers need to produce "registration certificates" of their mainland companies ? We do not need a mainland company - we are doing export with mainland suppliers.
4)
About looking how hard it is to get Visa for Chinese to EU or USA - I agree. There is only one big difference: This EU & USA Visa regulations have almost always be same ridiculous - but after 15 years very convenient China Visa procedures now coming up with this nonsense regulation - this makes THE difference. It would have been better if this is all for OLYMPICS SECURITY SAKE - just to say NO for all visa applications except GAMES visitors (who will find some kind of ghost town there in Beijing) - no bars - no fun - only a lot of police. Welcome to the Dream !

Yes - now in some districts in Beijing the doors of public toilets will be removed (security measure) - also rubbish bins - a hunt to track down all Beijing junkies also started - they have to dissapear somewhere. Beggars and rubbish collectors as I was told have already been re-located in outside districts ......Hotel bookings are not satisfying you can read this here THE CHINA VISA BLOG
Somehow it is very very sad !

Ok so after following every lead from here and various other websites, as well as friend of friend advice etc...around 50 phone calls and thus far I have yet to find a travel agent or govt. department in China or HK that is offering any type of visa other than Z.

Are there any US passport holders here that have actually obtained a visa this month and if so can you provide the agent/location contact information?

Thanks.

L Visa duration

Hi Neha,
What nationality are you and where did you make your visa application? This news is very worrying. I am wondering if this applies to everyone, regardless of what country they come from.Thank you.

You may also try wayline travel in tst. Single entry visas start from 400 if you wait for 3 days and if you wait for 1 day it's 550. But prices vary depending on origin of passports. Wayline Limited or 2368-2441 ask for Ken.

Do you have any evidence for this statement, or are you just scaremongering????

Regarding Neha's post - 2 months ago at China Foreign Ministry in Wanchai I could only get a double entry visa valid for 5 days each entry because I did not have tickets and hotel bookings. 10 days ago I went to an agent and got double entry 30 day visa in 2 days with with just HKID and passport.
