| just a small update: I went to CTS today to beg for my life. They explained the following: 1. Your letter from a company in China must state the time you will be in China. For example, to get the most out of this visa craze, your letter should state that you are needed in China several times throughout the next few months. This way it is more of a push for them to issue you a visa that is valid for 2 entries, and doesnt expire for 3 months. ((NO...you can NOT say you are needed for 1 year, as they will not except this letter at all)). 2. You need a ticket of EXIT for China. You do not need to show when or how you will enter China, instead only verifying when you plan to leave China. They do NOT accept an Octopus card. Must show air ticket, KCR ticket, or ferry ticket. 3. If your letter states you will be in Zhuhai for work, then you must show a ferry ticket from Zhuhai. If your letter states you will work in Guangzhou, then you must show a thru-train ticket. 4. Your letter from China company can count as hotel contact information, so a hotel confirmation is not necessary. 5. You need a photo, a passport (that includes your HK visa), and your HK ID card. 6. You do NOT need a letter from the central government office. The head visa office is the only one to confirm if any of this will be valid, but based on experience this is what CTS said should work in most cases. I applied today for a 2 entry, and I will get result on June 02. Last edited by BenderLives; 23-05-2008 at 07:11 PM. |

Did your colleague have to submit all the info, as stated above? |

| Thats back to normal then - except for the flight ticket. In line with what has been intimated before, so lets hope the madness is over and is being undertaken by the Wanchai visa office. |
