so does anyone know exactly what is needed for a HK resident ID cardholder (NOT permanent resident) and US passport holder to apply for the China work visa (type F)?

i will go early next week, and based on the lines I saw today, I don't want to wait all day and find out I missed something.

can someone verify a list of essentials needed to apply?

The F visa is a business visa not a work visa.

Z visa

A Z Visa you need to apply at the place you want to work for example in Shanghai:
- you need a company letter from your company abroad very clearly stating what you are doing there
- you normally need to proof an office address resp. a registered "represantative office" and showing all the certificates of this office and best naming you as the 'Chief Represantative \" of this Office
-you need to make a health test (x-ray, blood + Aids etc.)
-and you surely need to pay tax - means you also need to declare your income.
I am not sure I forgot something - I did this already 2 times around 7 years ago - maybe some points have changed - but the whole procedure you can calculate needs at least 1 month.

There's no way to get a multi in France either. I don't even know if they still want people to come in China.

so has anyone successfully received an F visa in the last week (since implementing these restrictions)?

it seems most of the list is normal...like a letter from your office in China stating where you will do business, and a photo, and a business card helps....

but what about the letter from a government department, and the flight and hotel confirmation......is this required even if you are coming from HK by train or car or day trip? and how do you even get a letter from the government?

Bender - My Norwegian friend, with a HKID card, and one-yr-multiple-entry visa has been going on daytrips through Lo Wu since this whole ruckus began. She has had no trouble and hasn't needed to supply anything outside of the ordinary (prior to all this ruckus).

hmmmm ... everyone seems to be misunderstanding me.

before this chaos...i too was OK for the past 3 years getting 1 year multi entry F visas. it was also super simple, and i only needed a photo, business card, letter from my china office, and thats it. but...mine will expire this week.

so...now that we no longer can get multi-entry visas...what are the new requirements for getting a double entry F visa? how long is it good for? do we need flight / hotel confirmation? do we need letter from government office? etc?

as said before....i dont want to wait on these day long lines...only to find out i cant apply because i am missing something.
