the last i heard, a few years ago, in the hk black market those red passports were going at 35k usd per book... not sure wats the market rate now. since hk has raised up in the ranks and a HK residence are no longer so hard up for a foreign p/p

I was in shenzhen (FuYong) on Thursday and the visa entry office there was not only closed but but rollers down as well...I also contacted a UK visa house and they were totally unaware of any restrictions! So I sent them a press cutting.

Went to Shenzhen today using my new 12 month multiple visa issued here in HK on 31 March. While immig was verrrry busy no problem and straight thru.
