Location? I was just about to ask you.

Meerkat,

Thanks for taking an interest. Actually, we're still looking for a location that would allow us to make a comfortable shop and still keep prices reasonable. But for right now, we're just shopping for books.

Any suggestions for a location?

Thanks,
Sterling

Seems to me that Soho rents are only suitable for bars and restaurants now. Talked to a few shop leasers lately who think that they will have to move out of Hollywood Road/Peel street areas due to high rents.

Wanchai seems to be becoming more of a coffee shop and cafe area. Maybe you could join forces with a independent coffee shop owner.

Free Broadband.... I'd be there

I'll second (even third!) that. Hm, comfy sofas, freshly-brewed caffeine aroma, and browsing through loadsa tempting books...

Well, quite a few on my shelves are starting to wilt in the RISING humidity, so would consider parting with some... maybe.

Keep us posted

Talk to the owner of Muse, which is, regrettably, shutting up shop having failed to make the concept work in LKF...

Great suggestions

Thanks everyone for such great suggestions.
Yeah, I've been thinking that it needs to be a space and not just a shop.
Regarding the coffee, I saw a simple system in a local bakery where they have an automatic espresso machine and charge just $10 a cup. It would be nice for everyone to have, but I'm looking to stay away from having to get a food license.
I didn't think of the wifi, but it wouldn't cost anything extra and it would be nice for people to bring their laptops and hang out.
Sadly, the shop is a little ways off, but we're going hopefully open by the end of summer.

Keep the suggestions coming and if you find a bunch of used books, please let me know.

Thanks,
Sterling
