There is a cookie related problem with firefox which we've not been able to track down. Not sure if its related to privacy settings / security settings or just cookie corruption under some situations.

I do know we use the useragent in some conditions as a part of a session security check, so if your user agent string changes, weird things happen and your cookies are essentially thrown away.

Yeah, I noted that too, so reverted to Beta 4 just to be free of AX - in your face ads.

I dislike the persistant prods that FFox gives me - asking me to download Beta 5 - when that's the last thing I'll do until Adblock can again squelch the annoying AX adverts. {I'm using I.E. here}

Yes, that's another thing - I use DU Meter to monitor my CPU usage - and it is often "stuck" at 100% until I shut down FF &/or some other progs - like Eudora 3.0.2 - I don't like the later [per]versions.


Ooooops - I meant [url=http://www.coolbeans.ws/] with their COOLBEANS System Info - I use just the CPU readout - in digits. DU METER shows the UP/DOWN data speeds --- and is equally useful.

Some sites are very bad with their flash ads. They demmand so much cpu to refresh the ads.

Before you all start Geo is not too bad, there are loads which are far far worse and have one third of the number of ads. Still we should on encourage KIA to set stricter and more environmentally friendly policies on the standards of adverts accepted. Then we won't have to block adverts to visit this site. :-)

Hmmm ! I had forgotten that ""http://www.coolbeans.ws"" nowadays leads nowhere useful. <A sickening discovery when I tried to find out if this otherwise excellent utility had been updated (since 2002) to work with Vista - it hasn't, and seems to still be useless in "Compatable" - with 98/2000/XP modes>.

Anyone have a website to point me to - to get a similar type of CPU monitoring program for Vista
