| my 2c on Aegean Coast...
we lived there for about 3 years, up until 12months ago. it IS very pleasant. My little dog was very happy, and it is not far from national parks etc to walk/ride/run.
inregards to dogs... there are a lot of dogs about, and there are the usual "over scared" dog-phobics there too (whose shrill screams and clambering up elevator walls will cause even the most docile of dogs to become excited and in turn cause even more shill screaming). generally the residents and the staff are fine with your ferocious canine terror.
most the ground staff are very polite and helpful. the admin office is lousy, useless and bumblingly full of inadequacy (but nothing above or below par IMHO).
the sea views are fantastic. the hill view is a little too gloomy for my liking, though it is much nicer and much more open than waking up and peering bed-headedly(?) into another building.
transport - it sucks. ok, the 962 goes to town, woohoo. there are a miriad of minbuses to get to tuen mun, where the town plaza is not too bad, and is getting better by the day. there are buses to Sham Shui Po and many other useful places, but in reality unless you have a car you will find the travel a little stifling... you will opt out of a lot of things cos u dont feel like spending another hour-plus travelling somewhere. there IS a way of getting to anywhere in HK from there, but the time it takes is a bit of a pain. you're a 10min bus ride from Tuen Mun KCR station.
the club-house - is OK. the gym is good if you have it to yourself or share with one other person, same with the spa/jacuzzi (which is in the change rooms, BTW!) the indoor pool is more than adequate for laps or splashing about, the outdoor pool is fantastic on a fine summer day. there's also a few tennis courts, but no squash court. the grounds are immaculate, the buildings are in very good nick.
for a good quality complex with a reasonable amount of expats around, it is quite a nice place to live. the pet "friendliness" is a definte plus, but there are the other aspects to consider too....
hope this was of some help,
