Job availablity for my Husband

Hi folks, my first post here, so please be gentle.
We are considering moving to Hong Kong and have been searching the forum for as much info as possible! My husband is a fully trained & experienced Mercedes Benz and Subaru motor vehicle technician, and we wondered if anyone would know how easy it would be to get work in Hong Kong and roughly what to expect as a salary. Thank you for any help and replies

Working for the official garages will be next to impossible as they conduct their business in Cantonese.

However, there are a few expat garages and expat oriented car dealers who provide repair and services .... could be a good fit there. Don't expect US / UK levels of pay though.

But this is assuming he has the right to work in Hong Kong - its very unlikely he would get an employment visa as a car technician. So if you or he is a Permanent Resident, or you will be getting an Employment Visa from your work (and hence he a Dependant Visa) then you'll be fine. But it won't fly otherwise.
