does anyone know where i can find one of these in hong kong ? they let u flip on/off a lamp / other pieces of electrical equipment using an RF remote.

its for my bedroom lamp which is clear across the room. i would like to turn the light off only when i am sleepy, but then the 6 ft trek wakes me up too much ... sob story i know

It's the kind of thing I know you could get in B&Q in the UK; I wonder whether B&Q here would have it. It looks like a one-socket adapter which plugs into the wall and you can use it with a remote.

Otherwise try an electrical shop.

well if you can't find one in hk then I'm in u.k till next week thus can get one for you and bring it over as a worst case scenario.

You could also try the b&q at megabox in kowloon bay as they should have it.
