It is indeed quite outrageous. I recall a year or so ago that there even had to be mass protests by the military establishment for a Victoria Cross holding Gurkha to be allowed into the UK for medical treatment. I really don't understand how politicians responsible for decisions like this can sleep at night.

PDLM, they can sleep at night for the simple reason that the South Asian electorate is not organized enough or large enough to make a difference.
