MTR fare reduction
Did the MTR really lower fares after the KCR merger?
I don't travel in/around the city often enough to really know.
I do know that the cost to go to Lo Wu didn't come down at all and I was hoping for some sort of reduction.

I noticed a small reduction right away - less than $0.5
but recently they seem to have gone up - was that expected or is it my imagination? I travel on it less now than I did at the time around the merger.....

They did come down especially if you were using a mix of both KCR / MTR lines. My work journey to Kowloon dropped by approx $2. Journeys on the KCR only (Now MTR) remain the same price.

That would explain why Fo Tan to Lo Wu remains the same rip-off price.
