| | | Hiring Policies Hi! I'm just wondering as to whether or not height discrimination exists in HK when it comes to getting a job. Thanks. | |

What role would you actually be looking for?

| | In principle if your size counts as a disability then discrimination is illegal unless the employer can demonstrate that it means that you couldn't do the job. For example, there is minimum reach requirement on airline cabin to be able to shut lockers and do other safety related stuff. Hong Kong Law Chapter 487 Disability Discrimination Ordinance

What role would you actually be looking for? | well, its banking and finance for me. Point is, have there been any cases in HK that you guys are aware of? I mean, I'd assume the average height of a guy from HK is around 5'4-5'6? If that's the case, I hopefully won't have any problems if ever.

I'd say the average height for most local guys is nearer 5'6-5'7, they're certainly taller than say 10 years ago.
