Hi there I'm an HK newbie (well newish) looking to meet some fellow ex-pats so have decided to make a pre-emptive strike and organise a get together on Thursday April 3rd over a few (or several) drinks.

I'm a 32 year old guy from England looking to start a social life that doesn't revolve around work colleagues (no offence intended to any work colleagues reading this).

Get in touch if you'd like to come along and meet some new people. Thinking Whiskey Priest in LKF but open to suggestion on venue.

Robbie - Strongly recommend you make a reservation with the bar before publishing a date / time here. You'll end up with a lot of disappointed people who cannot find each other if you don't have a place secured and you've not warned the bar that the reservation is in the "GeoExpat" name.

Thanks for organising these drinks. I'm from London and I've been in HK since Feb. Am defo up for a few beers with fellow expats, UK or otherwise! So please count me in on 3 April.

I'm a thirty-something guy, outgoing, social, and keen to develop a social life outside of work.

I've not been to Whiskey Priest but it sounds good. A place I've been to before where you can actually hear people talk (ie, not too noisy!) is Dublin Jack's, also in LKF. There's a large open area near the front door that can be booked too. Otherwise the area at the back is large enough to hold a group. Anyhow, I am flexible about venue!

Good point UKPRMonkey have been to Dublin Jacks and it does have a larger area that can be booked.

Lets see how many people might be coming and I'll then book somewhere in the next few days.

My wife has been watching this thread since Saturday and I thought it was time to register and throw my hat into the ring...or bar..

So [clears throat] - Engrish, been here since the end of January, rather old at 36 - work in Kwun Tong - but should tick all the boxes to get on with you all, have a laugh and have a good night out.
