Obtaining a work visa without a degree

I am 19 and my family is moving to Hong Kong for a few years. My younger siblings can go to school but because I am over eighteen I need to get an independent working visa. I don't have a degree, I am studying but it will be a few years before I finish. I want to be able to live in Hong Kong and either work or study for the whole three years my family are there. There is a visa option for young Australians but it is only for one year and you can't work/study in the same place for more than 3 months. Plus this time of visa can't be extended. Sob story over, these are my questions:

1. If you travel on a holiday visa (up to 90 days at a time), how long do you need to leave Hong Kong for before you re-enter for another 90 days?

2. Is there any way to obtain a work permit without a degree? If so, what types of jobs?

Thanks for the help everyone!

GriffinOz,
1. As such there is no limit/ condition as to how long you should stay out of HK before you re-enter. However its quite obvious, the earlier it is, the sooner you will catch their eys. Be aware, this way you could survive upto 3 months or even 3 yrs... Its all Luck.
2. Frankly speaking, really difficult.... dont hope for that.

However, since your family is moving here and if you desperately want to join them and wont mind spending a bit, i would highly recommend you to consult a solicitor or Immg consultant..... Have seen hundreds of cases apparently seeming not eligible but got approved by these specialist... You may call it a loophole in Immg System but im sure they should be having a way out for you.....

Thank-you for your reply

Thank-you for your reply. I don't really want the stress of not knowing if I could re-enter Hong Kong every 90 days. I think I will pursue your legal option. Would I speak to someone in Hong Kong or back in Australia?
