Macbook needs to be repaired-Pls help!
My Macbook has a little problem ( Internal microphone) and need to take it to the service dealer or repair shop... Does anyone know where to take it? It's urgent. The best is to take it to the shop which specialized in Mac.Thanks.

Well any of the laptop repair shops in Wanchai or Mongkok should be able to do it, But if you want a mac specialist to fix it then it won't be cheap and it might have to be sent away.

If its covered under warranty then yes take it to a mac dealer who can get it sent away for repair otherwise just send it to any laptop repair shop and they can fix it.

This place specializes in Mac and the guys there are excellent, really nice and helpful. However the repairs take a long while and are quite costly.

I ended up going to a random place in Wanchai Computer Center, same/next day fix, quite cheap.

Shop 154, First floor Wanchai Computer Center. Open from noon to late.

Lessons from the recent Macbook repair episode: (a) avoid Central, and (b) make sure there's no stuff lurking on your HDD - even in deleted mode -that you wouldn't want revealed to the world!

Hahaha... exactly what I was thinking!

Best to keep all that stuff encrypted in a diskimage.

I've got a crack on my macbook casing along the front lip. I think its from resting my hands on it while typing.
Does anyone know where I may be able to get the casing changed on it?
I've seen loadsa places changing cases for psp, mobile phones etc but not for macs yet.
